Staff Spotlight: Mike Dainis

Mike Dainis joins our staff from Salem, MA when he is not living on campus at the University of New Hampshire. Mike will be a senior nursing student in the fall. He is also a brother at the Sigma Nu fraternity on campus, and a peer buddy at Best Buddies. Mike loves to stay active, and he is very excited to be at North Star for the summer!

More about Mike

How did you learn about North Star and why did you apply?

One of my instructors at UNH sent out a flier to all of the students about the job. She said it would be a great opportunity for anyone looking to work with children and be outdoors. This sounded like the perfect job for me. I applied the same day I received the flier; and after a couple of Skype interviews, I was fortunate enough to get the job. I applied because working in pediatrics after I graduate has always been a dream of mine. This is a perfect opportunity to get my feet wet in the field while still enjoying my summer and meeting new people from around the world.
