Jeremy Dancer joins us for his first summer at camp. A native of Florida, he's spent most of his life in food service. He has over 15 years of food service experience, cooking in restaurants as well as in catering. He spent five years working at Kool Beanz Cafe in Tallahassee. For the last year he's been working as a sous chef at a sorority house at Florida State University. When not cooking, he spends time outdoors and hiking. He's into live music and we'll be sure to get him to play some guitar for us this summer. We're excited to have Jeremy join our kitchen staff this summer!

How did you learn about North Star and why did you apply?
- I was suggested quite a few camps for summer employment through my employer, College Chefs. I chose North Star because I really hit it off with Dan and Andy in my interview. I also like the family feel and closeness that exist between all the returning staff!

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
- Pitbull. Get all the amenities of human life without all the worries and people would think i was both adorable and terrifying at the same time.

What is your favorite cartoon Character:
- lumpy space princess! Adventure time!

What is your dream Job:
- I would love to have my own Farmhouse style restaurant, Where all the food served is grown/raised
If you had a super hero power, what would it be:
- time travel

What noteworthy/random/menial jobs have you held?
-  I have carried blocks on construction sites, Built fiberglass boats and worked in retail but for the majority of my working life I have been cooking

What are your top three movies of all time:
- Cry Baby, Can't Buy Me Love, Better off Dead

What did you do last summer?
- Mostly work, with some beach and river time sprinkled in

What is a little Known fact about yourself:
- I really like Taylor Swift's music

What, if any previous camp/outdoor experiences have you had?
- First time camper!
