Cocktails Around the Campfire 2017

Camp for All Kids hosted Cocktails Around the Campfire 2017 this past Saturday, April 22. There was a great turnout from North Star as well as our CFAK partner camps. It was a great evening celebrating camp and the opportunity to share the camp experience with others. About 200 camp enthusiasts attended to send more kids to camp and enjoyed live music and an auction at the event. Thank you to all of the North Star Alumni and families who attended for their generous support. The wonderful evening was also planned by two North Star mothers, Steph Degodny and Steffanie Pinsky.

Camp for All Kids promotes and facilitates racial diversity by sending kids from underserved communities to North Star and four other summer camps. These kids not only make lifelong friendships and experience the magic of camp, they also contribute so much to the camp culture. This summer, Camp for All Kids will send 78 campers to camp, the highest number in its history.

North Star has long been central to Camp for All Kids, and alumni Paul Nathanson and Rob Porter were honored at the event for their long service as Co-Presidents. We are proud of our continued Alumni involvement that demonstrates the North Star commitment to our values and making the world a better place.

For the first time, Camp for All Kids is also hosting an event aimed at younger alumni. Please join us on May 4 at The Rec Room for the first Camp for All Kids Happy Hour. You can find more information on Facebook and buy your ticket here.
