Staff Spotlight: Josh Lederman




Josh Lederman returns to North Star for his tenth summer at camp. A native of Highland Park, Illinois, Josh just finished his first year at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania where he studies Business and Media & Communications. When he is not studying, Josh was very active in writing for the sports section of the Muhlenberg Weekly and participated in Hillel. At camp you can find Josh instructing archery and rocketry.

Sitting on the chairs atop of the lodge steps looking at Spider Lake

What is your dream vacation?

Going to Hawaii to learn how to surf, go snorkeling, go hiking, and explore volcanoes

If you had a super hero power, what would it be?

Time travel 

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?

Jackie Robinson’s first baseball game in the major leagues

What is your favorite quote from a movie?

Tie between Anglers Haven and Norske Nook

Touching my nose with my tongue

What advice would you give to someone coming to North Star for the first time?

Always be your true self and never pass up the opportunities to try new things and make new friends.

Share one notable camp memory:

On my Canadian trip my Pine Manor year my cabin mates decided to jump into a “hole” in the lake. I was afraid to do so, but with the encouragement from my friends I overcame my fear and jumped into the “hole.”
